Use the fantastic outdoor classroom of the Ennerdale Valley to help bring your pupils Geography & Science curriculums to life. Low GIllerthwaite is a Field Studies Centre in the heart of Ennerdale Valley. We offer a great space for residentials for school children of all ages. We have dorm rooms and can sleep up to 40 people. We have a fully equipped classroom and large field offering the opportunity for studying and recreation. There is a large kitchen which can be used for self catering or you can opt for catering (at additional cost). The cost of hiring the Centre for a residential is £480 a night.

Workshops are currently being developed to support Year 3 Rocks and also the Geography Fieldwork for KS1/2, incorporating the use of the compass, maps etc. Utilising the orienteering course within the Centre grounds as well as identifying the local mountains and features.
