Real-world application of ‘XYZ’
A simple request is to ask for a STEM Ambassador to illustrate a real-world link to a curriculum topic.
They could talk about their job or bring in an object or pictures from their work.
For example STEM Ambassadors could:
- ‘Show how geometry is used to design buildings’
- ‘Illustrate what technology is being used to reduce carbon emissions’
- ‘Explain how Chemical Reactions are scaled up to industrial proportions’
- ‘Talk about how real-life scientists work scientifically to explore new ideas’
It is up to you – request a STEM Ambassador and see how they can enrich your curriculum.
