An introduction to circuits and programming

Time required: 2 hrs per workshop – Max 20 students per sessions

The successful Get Wired…Get Coding workshop created by the Women in Operational Technology Group at Sellafield to introduce pupils to circuits, programming and computer safety. The group can offer 2 sessions per month excluding December, May and August– this is a hands-on activity and will need the volunteers to come into school to deliver. By the end of this activity the children will:
Understand simple circuits utilising Hot Wires activity
Understand a computers inputs and an outputs.
Understand the aspects of a control system.
Utilise Botley robot to code simple instructions Note: we are changing to Lego Education Spike once the kits arrive.
Understand the basics of computer safety
