Within the nuclear industry we are seeing more and more robots deployed to augment the workforce to make things safer. Sellafield and Atkins have been collaborating in the deployment of mobile robotics to aid in cell clean up. Tomorrow’s workforce will be using robotics to carry out tasks currently done by hand. We will bring one of our quadrupedal robots to demonstrate to the children, talk why we use robots and to show that a career in robotics is achievable in West Cumbria.
