On 10th January 2024 the Y5 and Y6 children at Holm Cultram Abbey CofE Primary School were joined by Claire Bryant from The Outdoor Partnership, Rhianna Smith from The Centre for Leadership Performance (CforLP), Dave Cryer a local author and David Heaton from Cavendish Nuclear.
The children learnt about the skills and qualifications needed to become a Mechanical Engineer, an Author, Outdoor Instructor and a Programme Manager.
Andrea Worthington, Headteacher said:
“We wanted to offer the children here the opportunity to see the variety of careers that are available in the local area. We want them to know that anything is possible. After the session the children talked about the volunteers and the different jobs that they wanted to do in the future. These workshops are so important to inspire our pupils and broaden their horizons.”
This Dream Big session was organized by Primary Business Partnership, delivered by the Centre for Leadership Performance Cumbria, generously funded by OneAIM JV, and Sellafield Ltd SiX.
