The pupils at Northside Primary school, Workington were joined by James Kuechel, Red Pike Education and Claire Johnson from thee Primary Business Partnership to set up their own manufacturing businesses as part of the Contract to Cube-it workshop.
The children created their own manufacturing business, learnt about industry, adding value, making decisions about their product and how best to produce it. The children used a range of skills from mathematical, communication, decision making, team work, negotiation and collaboration.
All of the children (and the teachers!) were great at making the cubes and they all got involved in selling their products and buying need raw materials to build bigger and better structures with their cubes.
If you’d like to book one of these sessions in your school or if you’d like to offer to help or borrow a box and delivery one of these workshops yourself please get in touch with the Primary Business Partnership team.
