SUPPORTING CAREER RELATED LEARNING TO ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN WEST CUMBRIA

The Future’s exciting at Maryport Primary

“I loved it, it was very fun and exciting to find out their jobs!

This is what one student from Maryport Primary reported when Mark Cant from Sellafield, Cath Wilson from Lakes College and Eagan Carson-Walker also from Sellafield joined Primary Business Partnership at Maryport Primary for an Aspiration Session.

Adventures in the Jungle, investigating murders and guarding some of the top military personnel are just some of the things our business volunteers have got up to and shared with the children from Maryport Juniors.

The children got the opportunity to think and chat about their own futures and what they might like to do. They got to play a Guess who game and then had the opportunity to grill the volunteers by asking them questions about their career journeys, how they coped with failure and who inspired them to do what they do were just some of the questions.

If you’d like to book one of these sessions in your school or if you’d like to offer to come along and share your career journey, please get in touch with the Primary Business Partnership team
