SUPPORTING CAREER RELATED LEARNING TO ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN WEST CUMBRIA

STEM in Space Storytime for Year 4 / KS2

Take a ticket to attend a special STEM Story Time event with STEMFirst and the Primary Business Partnership.

13th of June at 2pm – 2:45pm.

STEMFirst the STEM Ambassador Partner for the North West invite you to meet a STEM Ambassador, listen to the story and then afterwards help your pupils work out how old they would be on Jupiter!

During the session your pupils will hear from Helen Heggie, CBeebies Consultant and the STEM Ambassador Partner for the North West about what it is like to be an Engineer, why Science and Maths are really important in the world and how your pupils can make a difference.

Your pupils will then meet one of our amazing STEM Ambassadors who will tell us about his career in the RAF and about all the aircraft he has worked on , including the amazing new solar powered aircraft that flies at the edge of space!

Pupils will then listen to the ‘A Hundred Billion Trillion Stars ‘story and your class will be left with a challenge – to work out their age on Jupiter !

Your pupils will be able to ask questions and find out more about how Engineers and Scientists help us and develop new and exciting technology – a perfect addition to STEM in your school .

Please note: Your school can register and then share the link with multiple classes, but please let STEM First know how many pupils will be online from your school!

After booking you will be sent the ZOOM links – but please remember to say which school you are.

Please note: They will not send links to personal email addresses !
