Nationally, Children’s Mental Health Week is taking place on 1-7 February 2021. This year’s theme is ‘Express Yourself’.
Here at the Primary Business Partnership we’ve been designing a brilliant new set of resources called Skills Blox in the past few weeks and we’ve decided to release one of them to help young people – especially Primary children – to express themselves during #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek!
My Crest is a simple outline of a crest – like a school badge or a coat of arms for a family – and we want your pupils to use them to outline what they love to do, what makes them happy, how they use their time and maybe even what makes them nervous or anxious.
There are a variety of ways to use them:
- Each section for a different aspect of their lives
- Each section for a different emotion
- Each section for a different person they love or help
- Each section for a different subject they like
- One for happy, one for excited, one for sad, one for grumpy
It’s entirely up to you! We’ve made sure the image is low-ink so it can be printed at home – if there’s no printer it can be copied out really easily too.
Why not use the crests as a show and tell and ask the pupils to bring them into school when they return for a wall display.
