Over 220 pupils from Netherton Infants, Maryport CofE Primary, Our Lady & St Patricks, Grasslot Infants & Ewanrigg Juniors attended a STEM activity day organised by Primary Business Partnership.   Volunteers from Cavendish Nuclear, Sellafield Limited and Institute of Physics showcased different STEM careers and got the children to take part in exciting activities throughout the day.  These included: Recycling with Cavendish, Electromagnetism & Water and Sound with The Institute of Physics and Lava lamps and an egg drop competition with Sellafield Ltd.

The children got to ask the volunteers about their jobs and to see science in action through these fun, curriculum linked activities.   Hopefully we inspired lots of budding scientists for the future!
