For the last couple of years Contract to Cube-it has been a popular and well received workshop in West Cumbrian schools.

A ready-to-go practical primary lesson promoting a broad range of mathematical and business skills; with a healthy mix of competition and collaboration between teams.

The aim of this practical activity is for learners to recognise and simulate how businesses add value and speculate wealth. Aside from the business context, the activity itself is rich in mathematical skills.

Each session requires a minimum of 2 hours and is recommended for year groups 5/6.

We now need volunteers to help deliver this across the academic year. You might be able to facilitate one or two sessions across the year? You might be able to reach out to your own networks and find us volunteers?

Getting local businesses involved helps us to take this session to another level and incorporates real world experiences into the workshop. It also gives you our volunteers the opportunity to develop valuable skills that can be taken back to the workplace.
