SUPPORTING CAREER RELATED LEARNING TO ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN WEST CUMBRIA

Anti-Bullying Week – 15th to 19th November

We are helping to promote The Anti-Bullying Alliance campaign who’s theme this year is ‘One Kind Word’ in partnership with Cumbria Libraries and Archive Outreach Team.

We would like to invite your students to take part in this national campaign by producing a piece of artwork which represents this theme.

All artwork will be collated and used to create the ‘Paste Up’ art installation which will be produced in  different parts of the county at a later date.

This will be an event to which you can come along and take part in the paste up activity. The intention is that the installation will be moved around the County throughout the year, promoting the anti-bullying message.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Your student’s artwork can be a maximum of A3 size and any medium can be used, with an awareness that this will be pasted onto boards and used to create the display.

WHERE TO SEND YOUR ARTWORK

If you would like to drop off the artwork it can be deposited, for attention of Anna Todd/Lynne Murray at:

  • Your local library.
  • School reception for collection –please  contact Anna or Lynne to collect
  • Or post to Anna Chippendale at Carlisle Library , Globe Lane Carlisle CA3 8NX

WHEN

  • Ideally, we would like the artwork to be produced during Anti-Bullying week, as a conversation starter with your students. This is a link to the ABA anti-bullying video created for secondary schools  https://youtu.be/SmgiR5s0cHU and for primary schools https://youtu.be/oJQg2JyQ3mM
  • We would encourage you to take photos of the artwork in process and email to us so we can upload onto social media at a later date.
  • All the artwork needs to be received by us no later than Tuesday 30th November.
  • No artwork can be returned as it will be used in the installation.
