Chance Camp have decided to provide a virtual Chance Camp for February 2021.  They hope you can use this opportunity to complete their Chance Camp 5S score cards and send it back to them for your chance to win £40 worth of vouchers for Summer 2021.

Each day (Tues 16th, Wed 17th and Thurs 18th Feb) a coach will upload to Facebook your timetable for the day and an introduction/support video.  They will provide a timetable for 15 mins worth of activity to complete every hour on the hour. They are offering this as a free opportunity, but please do have a look at their shop where clothing can be purchased along with the brand new 5S programme in booklet form,  this is an excellent resource for parents to use to support their child with physical literacy and opening up many sporting chances for them in the future.

Description

PhunkyFoods is an award-winning early years and primary school programme of healthy lifestyle curriculum activities, lesson plans and resources.

The PhunkyFoods mission is to improve the dietary and physical activity habits of young children (aged 2-11 years) across the UK by helping to create supportive learning environments for health in early years settings and primary schools. Rapid increases in childhood obesity prevalence means that we must help empower children, alongside their families and communities, to take control over their wellbeing to enable them to live longer, healthier and more fulfilled lives.

The PhunkyFoods Programme aims to help early years settings and primary schools to deliver a whole-school approach to healthy lifestyles and to engage with all pupils, and their families, in promoting tangible health behaviour changes in a fun, lively and positive manner.

Health, Wellness and Mindfulness programmes for children

Each WHISkids course takes the form of a six-week programme that take place in school, usually in the hall as it includes activities for learning about physical and emotional wellbeing which can currently be tailored to any class group, aged from four to 11.

WHISkids uses the My Way Code mental health programme to underpin everything it teaches. It uses the metaphors from cars and travelling so is aspirational, relatable and gender neutral.

WHISkids sessions can be delivered by our facilitators (currently in Nottingham and Cumbria) or schools can purchase all the resources needed for staff and teachers to deliver themselves.

The cost is £450+VAT for a 6 session course for up to 15 children
