' The work that the scheme has undertaken with the school so far have been really well received and enriched the curriculum for our children. '
Dawn Watson, Head, Eaglesfield Paddle School

' Thanks again for organising for James [from Red Pike Education] to come into class. We had a fantastic morning. The children learned so much, not only about shape and profit and loss but about themselves. We found master builders we didn't know we had and the level of teamwork was incredible. James was very patient and the resources he had prepared were brilliant. On the whole, a very engaging and motivational experience. '
Shona Wolfenden, Bookwell Primary School

' I think it is really great to get back involved with the local industry and by that what I mean when I first started teaching we had lots of links with Sellafield which unfortunately has died down, so it's great that we have this opportunity to forge links again. The children were excited to come especially when they knew they were the guinea pigs! '
Leanne Harding, Science Coordinator at Valley Primary School

' Sellafield Ltd worked with BEC to develop the trail using the curriculum rich environment to provide a fun, interactive outdoor experience for students. The park has an abundance of wildlife including deer, rabbits, bees etc, enabling students to learn about habitats. The experience will provide lots of discussion and further work back in the classroom. '
Pauline Farrell, Education and Community Projects Officer

Aspiration Sessions

' The Year 5 & 6 children really engaged well with the session and it was so good to hear that they already have their own aspirations for what they want to be when they're older. The day was full of activities that the children fully took part in which made it a fun afternoon for both the children as well as the businesses that were there. Overall the afternoon was a great success and I would thoroughly encourage anyone to get involved. '
Scott Sowerby, NVQ Business Admin Apprentice at NDA. An Energus apprentice on placement at NDA supporting an Aspiration Session at Flimby School

' What a fantastic opportunity to work with young people and listen to the dreams they have for the future and also share my career experiences with them. I feel very privileged to have been part of this session. '
Catherine Wilson, Recruitment and Admissions Leader, Lakes College West Cumbria. Aspiration session at Flimby school
